My top three essential oils for skin rejuvenation are myrrh, sandalwood and frankincense. Their skin restoring properties are legendary and clinically proven. Since I have been adding these oils to my skincare routine my skin is more balanced, has less breakouts ,and my wrinkles and sun spots are diminishing! They truly are nature’s miracle. Why pay $$$ for chemical laden wrinkle creams when you can make your own for less and without all those chemicals! And this month you can get both Frankincense and Myrrh free with your Young Living order! Click here for details.
Let’s dig in a little deeper with what these oils can do for your skin.
Sandalwood – Soothes, firms and softens skin. It has historically been used for acne, scars and wrinkles.
Frankincense – Rejuvenates aging skin by improving skin tone and returning dry and oily skin to a normal, balanced state. It firms skin, promotes healing and fights inflammation.
Myrrh – Maintains firm, youthful skin by helping to prevent tissue degeneration. It cools, soothes, and heals, and is especially useful for chapped, cracked and infected skin.
The wonderful thing about essential oils is that they can be used for more than just skin care. This helps justify the higher purchase price since they have so many other uses. A bottle lasts a long time since less is better when it comes to essential oils. A few drops go a long way.
Other benefits of the above oils:
Frankincense – It produces a feeling of calm and helps support respiratory function. It also helps reduce stress, anxiety and boosts immunity.
Myrrh – Myrrh promotes repair of tissues. It is also helpful for respiratory issues. Try it next time you have a cut or scrape for healing support. Also great for helping to relieve eczema.
Sandalwood – Has a calming and harmonizing effect and is useful in relieving tension. It is an ideal remedy to use for nervous depression, stress, fear and a hectic daily lifestyle.

DIY Skin Oil Recipe
Mix the essential oils that are best for your skin with a base oil for a quick and nourishing custom-blended facial treatment. Select one or two oils (or more) from the list above that are suited to your skin condition.
Add two tablespoons of a cold press oil such as sweet almond or jojoba to a glass bottle. Add your essential oils to the bottle, put the lid on and shake to mix. Dot on the skin and massage lightly until the skin has absorbed the oil. A perfect use is as a night time skin treatment.
